Primary

Alas, the challenges did continue during 2021 and, alongside them, the great opportunity to gather together as a community to celebrate the joy of the return of in-school learning.

Our strong sense of collegiality, collaboration and flexibility continued to be tasked during the early months of the year as the pandemic kept on changing the conditions in which we could deliver lessons. We alternated virtual and in-school activities, guaranteeing that all pupils never stopped learning whilst interacting with peers and teachers in a caring manner.

In August, we finally opened our doors to all our students and we witnessed their sheer joy to meet again: whole classes gathered once more together, ready to pursue their differentiated learning paths. Though social-distancing and face masks became our new normal, children were able to run, play, laugh and learn experientially as one. Our playgrounds, corridors, classrooms reverberated with happiness and an exuberant positive synergy became very palpable in every corner: our school had regained its life!

regained its life!"

Teachers reached out for each learner, attentive to their learning needs after so many months of interrupted routines and they resumed collaborative enquiry projects for children to thrive. Our Hall once more decked with lights and colour, hosted lively Concerts for our students and their families to enjoy. Hands-on activities, face to face interactions and outdoor learning became the means to rekindle the sagging motivation of previous months and infused new enthusiasm to continue learning. We congratulate our teachers for their relentless dedication and professionalism and we are proud of our children's continuous effort and achievements.
