CHARMAIN OF THE BOARD'S LETTER

Dear community,
2022 has given us the opportunity to consolidate the new way of learning and focus on the Academic, Social and Spiritual aspect of our students, as we could enjoy a full comeback to school.
During this year we had the chance to welcome Mrs. Lila Pinto, our new Head of School. She worked thoroughly with the staff on the academic dimension of the school's project-based learning programme; bringing together all the areas of the school into a wide-ranging project.
Our students had a wonderful academic year while participating in sports, artistic and cultural activities. 91 Senior students actively joined the Senior play You Can't Stop the Beat putting on a fantastic show, which we all enjoyed very much, and our First XV, Second XV and First XI and Second XI became our ambassadors during the UK Hockey and Rugby Tour, where they excelled and brought fantastic experiences back with them. Kindergarten students presented their Robotic Project, in which they explored and coded educational robots, and our 6 th graders came in a Grand March, led by members of the SASS Pipe Band, to celebrate our Scottish Legacy during the Y6 graduation.
Throughout the school we have worked on sustainability projects and have endorsed the Compromiso de Educación para la Sostenibilidad (SASS Sustainability Pledge), with the support of the Cátedra UNESCO de Educación para la Sostenibilidad y la Ciudadanía Global at the Universidad de San Andrés.
The Espacio Cultural San Andrés (@espacioculturalsanandres) has finished the restoration of our emblematic building on Perú 342, and launched the 1825 Program, with the objective to retrieve our history and the tradition of Scottish culture in Argentina. CIAESA continued with their various publications, and San Fernando en Red celebrated its 10 th Anniversary of continuous work in the San Fernando area. The Former Pupils' Club (Club de Ex Alumnos de San Andrés) started The Rugby Mix this year, inviting children with disabilities to join in the sport activities.
We are actively working on the completion of the Campus Project; the Secondary Project has been presented, and it has been a fantastic opportunity to revise our academic strategy for the years to come.
I would like to thank staff, teachers, parents, students, and everyone who has collaborated to make this year a success. All in all, it was a wonderful year, full of activities where we could enjoy the thriving energy of our students and the St Andrew's community.
