Astronomy

During the second part of the year, Y6 students were engaged in a project on Astronomy. They were able to group themselves according to their interests in the subject. Black Holes, Comets, the Solar System and the Sun were some of the most popular choices.

Collaboration was a key competency developed as different students read and collated material from various sources.

One of our students brought a fragment of a meteorite that had fallen on his farm, so we were able to touch an object that had actually been in space.

We hope this will be the beginning of future astronauts in our midst!
